In this dialogue box, you can re-adjust the bite opening, set the spacer and select a splint type.
Select Splint Type
The software can automatically calculate splint previews based on the selected splint type. The suggestion for the general bite splint is calculated, considering the specified bite opening value and the contact surface with the antagonist. The automatically computed contact surface is based on the points set in the posterior region.
The vacuum-formed splint is generated with a uniform material thickness corresponding to the minimum material thickness of the selected material.
Using the two sliders on each side, the front canine guidance can individually define the area where the splint will be designed. Similar to the bite splint, the posterior region is calculated, taking into account the antagonists.
After any changes, click on the “Apply settings” button.
Set Bite Opening
The automatic suggestion for the splint was calculated based on the bite opening value you defined in the previous step. You can adjust the bite opening value here and have a new suggestion for the splint calculated.
